Shadow will help in investigation and hurt/comfort. Give the others a chance to shine as badasses.

As for the Humane society and my secret options.

For question 2: Evil Morty can help the Humane Society capture Sonic while playing the other captured person. Then steal the data on Sonic.

And for question 3: Morty and Nine having a big talk about if he was involved. Throw some suspicions on this boy. After he can be the one to help send a ping to Nine to help find Sonic even if needed.

THE SECRET OPTIONS.

Morty absolutely can and you can do Nine Things.

Just keep in mind that Sonic will attempt to find the quills if Morty doesn't cut them off and the power will actually only last a limited time without the connection. (They also have a limited time with it because Ellipsa nerf, but its a lot shorter without being able to feed off him.)

But boy, Chaos Energy sure is....a Whole Thing.

Rinku tries not to kill unless she absolutely has to, but these guys tend to not listen to reason or mercy; still, she'll try that tack first.

Aims:
-Rinku passes some manner of magical scan (either a machine or rune set up at the hideout entrance that sets an alarm if nonhumans go through, or a spell cast by a gangster) that identifies her as still technically human, with the idea that Ellipsan shifting powers are Normal and nonhumans are Not. This makes Rinku feel very gross and she'll use the full shapeshift skill (i.e. become "really" nonhuman, inside matching the outside) for the remainder of the mission and probably the rest of the week despite how the sensory overload sucks. Hlep.
-She wants to Hug
-Also fretting and crying over the death toll but also these guys just wouldn't stop (maybe one or two do escape but some go down fighting??).

That works! It fits with the whole building refrain that the reason these guys keep dying is because many of them value hate too much, but that there are those who don't or can be persuaded, at which point they can take the option to run and... I don't know what. Crime rehab? Try and join another gang, maybe the Cups are hiring --

I may have made a dungeon where Rinku will be an A PLUS LOCKPICKER, its kind of hilarious. Go girl who knows how to feel EMOTIONS.

They are people and some are just too hatefilled, but surely some just need to get a better support network!!! (Okay, crime is still bad, but like...less evil crime maybe? Go make a profit, god.)

Nine can help in the investigation and rescue. He's not great at comforting in his opinion so best leave that to people not still learning that it's okay to care.

Doey could also help with the comfort, even if it's just being a big soft dough pillow for Sonic.

• Chipp's definitely gonna try following Sonic's weird little soul/chaos tendrils like bread crumbs for as long as he possibly can. Could potentially be one of the ways the rescuers find their way through? Until Sonic shuts off that energy, of course.


• Once he can't sense Sonic's tendrils, ALL BETS ARE OFF. I'm not even fully sure what all he'll end up doing, all I know for certain is that Chipp'll be a danger to most anyone unless they're an Autumn - they can ground any eletricity that Chipp accidentally sends their way, after all, and that's the biggest issue.


• Potential for accidentally causing a power outage??


• This is less Chipp Being Badass and more like Chipp Being Worryingly Enraged, honestly. It's likely part of the building really will end up destroyed if someone doesn't tattle on him to Evangeline or Rinku.
  (Please tattle on him, he's stupid and deserves it.)


• For the comfort side of things... anyone hurt (especially if Chipp's at fault) will be getting care packages. 👀💦 He's not great at the words side of comfort, but thankfully he's great at the food side of comfort...??

SatAM will help out wherever he can, though he's mostly an action type of hedgehog. I put him down for the beatdown and rescue.

Tobias will provide air support if the battle is outside. Things like "Hey, bad guys on your right." Or he could help out with the investigation considering his morphing abilities and all.

I AM NOT ENTIRELY SURE how to involve Tobias since Sonic doesn't have any CR with him, and I don't know if he has CR with anyone else, but I think SatAM is good to go because Sonic's be Sonic's.
