But a lot of that is quiet hang out so that just becomes only text time.

Anyway, I remember us talking about a lot of things, I need you to narrow it down.

The thing with my brain and your brain and the stuff you learned about brains. I mentioned a couple weeks ago some stuff like how I kinda forget the vegetables I buy after I put them in the fridge and have to fix them with magic, and Neechan said I should see a doctor. And then Forger-sensei opened his office, so I did.

He gave me this test thingy and talked about medication. He said I didn't have to do it, and I feel weird about it because it's REALLY illegal back home? But also I guess it's fine here?? I don't know and you're an expert so.

So is it illegal as in the drugs aren't allowed at all, or only allowed with a prescription because I think Forger is basically saying you could get one?

Also pls I am not an expert, I just listen to mom talk about our medical stuff and skimmed a lot of books.

They're banned where I lived last, you always hear about stuff getting confiscated at the border and stuff. But also I'm not there, I'm here, so maybe it doesn't matter, but what about when we can go anywhere anytime, is it something I gotta hide???

I mean, they are illegal if you don't have prescriptions and there is a drug market for them.

Otherwise, why are they so against drugs that help brain chemistry?

I dunno, I guess every country has stuff that's weird to other people. And I've lived in lots of countries!

I would check about prescriptions, but like you could certainly try it out here? At least if you find out what works, then like you have the stuff that does and you might be able to find a legal way to get it.

Like sure, you can't get it in pill form, but maybe these three foods have all the ingredients you need.

But if you got a friend whose good at chemistry, you could probably do that too. Tails makes us wild stuff all the time back home.

That's so cool! He must be really smart. I wish I were smart like that, but I guess I do know some things a lot!

He is! He's a super genius. He can make all sorts of machines and figure out a lot of things and knows how to fly planes and helicopters and he's like...

At least Tails should know his, juries out on Knuckles, we both had a whole wild child thing going on for a while.

Even though you're from different planets? Do you still have birthdays that work for the calendar here? Or Earth, but I guess they're the same one.

Oh no, its all kind of vague. Even my Birthday was picked out.

Tom and Maddie realized I'd been with them almost two years and no Birthday so they made it the day they found me. Which was actually pretty close to my anniversary on arriving on Earth and I did have a Birthday not TOO long before THAT so like

I am in the Summer.

Somewhere.

Don't ask me about year lengths, I can't remember how long years or whatever measure of time it is people who used calendars were using. I can't remember that.

So Knuckles also has that challenge.

But Tails? Man, Tails could figure out the math, no problem.

Its actually kind of wild how much languages were the same back home.

And that Ellipsa has a calendar that's like one for one with Earth. Maybe they're translating the months, but still, same number of days is WILD.

Yeah, that's true too... My big sister could probably figure it out. Not Evangeline-neechan, the other one back home. Oneechan's an astronomer, she knows all kinds of stuff about space! I bet it's something about where the planet is and how fast it goes and stuff.

Yeah, that! Earth's year is determined by how long it takes to circle the Sun. And day is it doing a full spin. And why the days gets longer and shorter is because of how those two spinning things and the Earth being a wobbly top changes how long the Sun is pointed at parts of the planet.

Shadow really like astronomy, so I've been learning stuff.

I dunno if that's how years are determined elsewhere, but there was definitely SOME way to decide when to celebrate someone being born.

That makes sense. I mean, some cultures don't do birthdays at all, and some do all the birthdays at once so everyone's technically a year older on New Year's or something, but a lot do. And I think birthdays are a lot of fun too!

They really are! I love them. That's why I had to throw one because the other three are silly and didn't make any plans.

But! We're getting distracted!

I think you should try the medicine if you want to.

Its fine if you don't. Its only if you think it might help you.

Because you're pretty great as you are.

But like I also get those days where you wish you can just sit down and read the book. I cannot tell you how many books I would read like three to ten pages and it took me like six months to get through.

Yeah. If I didn't have the hyperfocus Summer skill, I'd never clean my house! And I know because I didn't have it for a while and it got kinda gross! But now the chores actually get done sometimes mostly. And if medication can do that too, maybe I wouldn't have to make myself do it with magic... especially since I still have to actually make myself use the magic...

Ooooh yeah. The START of the boring thing is always the worst.
And I can do the boring thing pretty fast, I can't even imagine what its like for you.
Medication can help with that!
And sometimes it takes a few tries.
There's a couple different ones and sometimes they take and sometimes they don't.
Its okay to check in with the doctor in stuff feels bad and see about something else.
